Herd Cross Country Teams To Race at Prestigious “Live in Lou” Classic

Men’s 8K at 9:30 a.m.; Women’s 5K at 10:15 a.m.

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall cross country program continues the 2023 season at the "Live in Lou" Cross Country Classic Saturday from E.P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park in Louisville. 

Both the Herd men's and women's teams have been selected to the Gold Race, which is Saturday's first race, and is reserved for the top programs showcased at the meet. 

The Men's 8K will be at 9:30 a.m. and the Women's 5K will be the next race at 10:15 a.m.

Men: Kent Bee, Zach Cannon, Brady Dawkins, John Duvall, Garrett Ferguson, Ronnie Saunders, Nathaniel Schneider, Paul Sepulveda, Donny Speas, Evan White

Women: Asha Bora, Jalynn Browning, Tori Dotson, Abby Herring, Kalei Jordan, Kylee Mastin, Sophia Newsome, Taylor Spencer, Hannah Toth, Hannah Wyler

"We're really excited for this next opportunity to race," Head Coach Caleb Bowen said. "We created our schedule to increase in importance as the season wears on. This meet we are taking our top-10 athletes and it is our first opportunity to race in a big meet setting with a fast course. I am really excited to see what our guys and girls can do!"
