HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (6-10) will begin Sun Belt Conference action beginning Friday in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, against the Southern Miss Golden Eagles (11-6).

Southern Miss has won three of its last four games after taking a weekend series from Louisiana Tech and picking up a victory over Alabama on Tuesday.
Friday's scheduled starter Niko Mazza has a 3-0 record with a 1.93 ERA in four starts this season with 30 strikeouts to lead the SBC and rank 39th nationally.
Dalton McIntyre has a team-high .415 batting average as Slade Wilks leads his with four homers and 14 RBI.
