HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (4-8) closes a seven-game homestand to open Jack Cook Field this weekend against Southeast Missouri State (6-8).

First pitch on Friday has been moved up to 1 p.m. due to projected rain in the forecast on Friday evening.

The Herd took its midweek contest 10-2 over the Bellarmine Knights on Wednesday at Jack Cook Field.
Owen Ayers launched his team-leading fourth homer of the season in the victory.
Making his first career start, Jay Kehoe produced a multi-hit contest with a homer as his first hit at Marshall while collecting three RBI.
Bryce Blevins has allowed just three runs, two earned, in 15.1 innings. The sophomore is coming off a 7.1 inning, nine-strikeout performance against Manhattan last weekend that earned him the Sun Belt Pitcher of the Week honor.
In 10 innings of relief work, Nicholas Weyrich has held opponents scoreless this season with 12 strikeouts.

ABOUT THE REDHAWKS

SEMO took three out of four contests this past weekend over Toledo before falling to Middle Tennessee State on Tuesday.
Bryce Cannon and Michael Mugan have each hit four homers with at least 10 RBI this season as Cannon sits at 18 and Mugan at 14. Mugan leads the team with 19 hits and a .345 batting average while scoring 13 runs.
Saturday's probable starter Haden Dow is 2-0 with a 3.12 ERA in three starts. Dow has struck out 15 batters in 17.1 innings.
