Herd Baseball Falls in Game Two at Georgia Southern

Ferraro goes 3-for-4 with a home run

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Marshall University Baseball team (13-28, 6-14 Sun Belt) dropped its second game in Statesboro, Georgia, 15-2, to the Georgia Southern Eagles (22-21, 11-9 Sun Belt) on Saturday.
Gio Ferraro had a day at the plate going 3-for-4 at the dish with a pair of RBI and a homer in his first game in nearly two weeks. The home run came in the second with two outs on a 0-2 pitch as he also drove in Kebler Peralta with a two-out single in the third.
In relief, Cole Agemy threw scoreless fifth and sixth innings allowing just one hit in his 2.0 innings of work.
The Eagles had a pair of big innings with eight runs in the first and six in the second as the home side added a run in the third.
Owen Ayers saw his 20-game on-base streak come to an end on Saturday.
