Herd T&F Scores Pair of Victories Friday Night

WV natives Asha Bora and Elicia Wood pick up individual wins
CHARLESTON, W.Va. - With Marshall track and field competing in two locations on Friday, the highlight of the evening came with a pair of individual wins at Laidley Field in Charleston.
Sophomore Asha Bora from Hurricane won the 5K at Laidley with a time of 18:18 in the tough conditions. Teammate Hannah Toth finished right behind with an 18:27 to finish second.
Earlier in Charleston, sophomore from Point Pleasant, Elicia Wood won the high jump with a 1.60 meter jump.
In total, 11 Herd athletes scored in Charleston.
In warmer conditions at South Florida, just the men competed in day one of the USF Bulls Invitational. Kazuma Bowring's fourth place finish in the 800 was the highest finish for the Herd in Tampa.
Saturday will be primarily the MU women competing in Tampa. Competition starts at 11 a.m.
