HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (17-34) closes out the non-conference portion of its 2024 schedule on Tuesday with a midweek contest in Athens, Ohio, on Tuesday against the Ohio Bobcats (16-30) at 6 p.m.

PRE-GAME NOTES
- The Herd took game one against the Bobcats on Wednesday at Jack Cook Field, 7-4.
- Owen Ayers leads the Sun Belt and tied for third nationally with 23 doubles on the year, one away from breaking his single-season program record of 23 from last season.
- With 16 stolen bases, Cam Harthan sits in eighth in the SBC. Harthan leads the team with .325 batting average, 17 multi-hit games and five three-hit contests.
- Elijah Vogelsong hit a pair of homers and drove in five runs, both career highs, on Sunday in the win at JMU as he leads the team with nine long balls this season. The junior outfielder's diving catch to end the sixth inning was the number five play on SC Top 10 on May 13.
ABOUT THE BOBCATS
- Ohio took its series at Miami (OH) this past weekend with victories on Saturday and Sunday after falling in game one on Friday.
- Gideon Antle sits fourth in the MAC with a .360 batting average and leads the conference with 17 doubles.
- Out of the bullpen, Tyler Peck and Luke Olsen each have three saves.
