HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (18-36, 9-20 Sun Belt) dropped game two 12-2 in eight innings to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers (32-21, 15-14 Sun Belt) Friday afternoon at Jack Cook Field.

"Tomorrow is Senior Day," Herd Baseball head coach Greg Beals said about looking at the final game of the regular season. "It's always a special day. We have a large group of guys that chose to come here and be at Marshall and chose to be in Huntington. I have a lot of love for those guys and their commitment to our program."

Gio Ferraro brought home both of The Herd's runs for his seventh multi-RBI game of the season. The senior plated Cam Harthan with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the first after Harthan led off the game with a single and stealing third. Ferraro then brought home Tre Hondras with a single up the middle in the third.

Starting pitcher Bryce Blevins struck out four across 6.0 innings in his final start of the season.

The Chanticleers tallied their 12 runs in four different innings with two in the first, two in the third, three in the sixth and five in the eighth.
