Marshall Baseball to Host Bradley for Three-Game Series

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (6-6) stays at Jack Cook Field for a three-game series against the Bradley Braves (2-7) starting Friday at 5 p.m.

  • The Herd extended its winning streak to five games after an 11-7 comeback win in 12 innings over Ohio on Tuesday at Jack Cook Field.
  • Ethan Murdoch tied the game on his fourth homer of the season in the ninth with AJ Havrilla hitting a walk off grand slam to earn the win for MU.
  • Nicholas Weyrich, who earned the win on Tuesday, has 1.35 ERA in seven appearances out of the bullpen striking out 13 in 13.1 innings while also having a pair of saves.
  • Tyler Kamerer leads the team with a .342 batting average and .449 on-base percentage as Havrilla leads The Herd with 15 RBI and 14 hits.
 
ABOUT THE BRAVES
  • Bradley was swept in a road series at Dayton last weekend.
  • Bobby Atkinson leads the Braves with a .438 batting average and 11 RBI with Timmy O"Brien hitting four homers on the year.
  • Friday's projected starter Travis Lutz sports a 1-1 record with 18 strikeouts in 13.0 innings across three starts.
