PRE-GAME NOTES
- The Herd fell in its series at Coastal Carolina this past weekend.
- Elijah Vogelsong sits fourth in the Sun Belt Conference in walks at 31 free passes this season.
- At 15 multi-hit games and four triples, Maika Niu leads Marshall in both categories. Niu's four triples sit fourth in the SBC.
- Tuesday's probable starter Peyton Jackson is scheduled to make his fourth start and 15th appearance of the season. Jackson has 13 strikeouts in 16.2 innings.
ABOUT THE EAGLES
- Morehead State fell in its series at UT Martin over the weekend.
- The Eagles lead the Ohio Valley Conference in hits (368) and home runs (53).
- Hunter Thomas leads MSU with 53 hits and a .333 batting average as he's tied for the team lead in doubles at 10 with Caden Sheridan.
- Tuesday's probable starter Ethan Davis is making his fourth start, 11th appearance of the year. Davis 2-2 with 15 strikeouts in 25.1 innings on the mound.
