HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball (24-22, 9-12 SBC) is scheduled to begin a three-game road series against the Old Dominion Monarchs (15-25, 10-11 SBC) on Friday in Hampton, Virginia.

  • The Herd took its midweek contest on Wednesday with a walk off over the No. 16 West Virginia Mountaineers in Charleston.
  • Jackson Golden had a four-RBI game with his first collegiate homerun in the victory.
  • Charlie Krebs earned his fourth win of the year in relief going 3.0 innings on the bump.
  • Ethan Murdoch tops MU with 33 RBI and nine homers.
  • The Herd is rolling with its normal rotation of Bryce Blevins, Griffin Miller and Clint Moak this weekend.
 
ABOUT THE MONARCHS
  • ODU took its series on the road at ULM last weekend.
  • Due to construction on their ballpark, the Monarchs are splitting time between Harbor Park and War Memorial Stadium, with this weekend taking place at War Memorial in Hampton.
  • Zack Leite leads the team with a .346 batting average and 44 hits this season.
  • Saturday's probable starter Dylan Brown has 75 strikeouts in 58.1 innings.
