HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (18-21, 9-9 SBC) gets back into Sun Belt Conference action with a three-game set against Troy (20-21, 10-8 SBC) at Jack Cook Field.

PRE-GAME NOTES

The Herd dropped its midweek contest on Wednesday to Morehead State.
Friday's scheduled starting pitcher Bryce Blevins leads the country with 72.0 innings on the bump with 64 strikeouts and seven wins, tied for the conference lead. A win on Friday would tie the senior for the program career record at 20.
Evan Bottone is fourth in the SBC with a .369 batting average and in on-base percentage at .472.
Cooper Hinson holds the team lead with 16 doubles and is tied for second in the SBC.
Tyler Kamerer is also tied for the SBC lead with 46 runs scored during the season.
AJ Havrilla ranks 10th nationally with 40 walks during the 2026 season and leads the SBC.

ABOUT THE TROJANS

Troy is coming off a series win over Louisiana last weekend and a midweek home loss to Jacksonville State on Tuesday.
The Eagles sit at 28th in the country with 86 and lead the SBC with 196 walks.
Jimmy Janicki ranks eighth in the country with 58 RBI and leads the team with a .348 batting average.
Benjamin Stubbs, Friday's scheduled starting pitcher, ranks 10th in the SBC with a 3.62 ERA as Saturday's scheduled starting pitcher Tommy Egan ranks fourth with 65 strikeouts.
