HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball team (23-28, 13-14 SBC) is set to conclude the 2026 regular season with a three-game series in San Marcos, Texas, at Texas State (31-22, 13-14 SBC) starting on Thursday.

PRE-GAME NOTES
- The Herd captured a series win over ULM at Jack Cook Field last weekend.
- Thursday's scheduled starting pitcher Bryce Blevins leads the country with 95.0 innings on the bump with 83 strikeouts, fifth most in the SBC. His eight wins are tied for the conference lead as he sits at a career of 20 with his next one to set the program career record and tie the program singles-season mark.
- Evan Bottone leads the conference with 77 hits and is second with a .389 batting average as he ranks in the top 25 nationally in both categories. Bottone has 26 multi-hit games, including 12 contests with three hits.
- At 53 runs scored, Tyler Kamerer is tied for the Herd lead with Kamerer and in a tie for third in the conference. Kamerer also ranks fourth in the SBC with 18 doubles.
- AJ Havrilla ranks 11th nationally with 50 walks during the 2026 season and leads the SBC.
ABOUT THE BOBCATS
- Texas State swept Arkansas State last weekend in Jonesboro, Arkansas, before falling at UTSA on Tuesday.
- The Bobcats enter the weekend third nationally with 56 double plays and 12th with 95 homers, both numbers lead the SBC.
- Rashawn Galloway sits second in the SBC with 76 hits, one behind Bottone.
- At 14 homers, Jaquae Stewart leads the team and sits third in the SBC as Dawson Stewart leads the team with 52 RBI for fifth most in the conference.
