High School: Batted .472 with 21 stolen bases and just six strikeouts while being named first-team all-state as senior ... team earned sectional championship ... his American Legion team played third in the state tournament ... also played in 2004 West Virginia North-South football game ... had 34 rushes for 251 yards and four touchdowns in first game of senior season.

Personal: Born June 11, 1986 ... son of Jeff and Brenda Maddox ... has brother, Jordan (21), also a student at Marshall ... grandfather, Jim Maddox, lettered in football at Marshall from 1957-59 ... majoring in business marketing with minor in economics.
