HERD FILE: Abercrombie is a multi-dimensional talent from Spring Valley High School who was named as a W.Va. Class AAA All-State First Team selection as a Utility Player after excelling on both sides of the field. Abercrombie’s best work came at the wide receiver spot where he hauled in 53 passes for 1,042 yards and 14 touchdowns while also scoring touchdowns in four other ways: rushing, throwing, returning a kick and returning an interception. He also with 22 tackles and two interceptions on defense. Jalyn also had offers from West Virginia, Appalachian State and interest from Penn State.
