Herd Baseball Set for Contest at Ohio, Game Moved to Wednesday

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – The Marshall University Baseball (16-16) is set to head to Athens, Ohio, for a contest against the Ohio Bobcats on Wednesday at 5 p.m. The game was moved from Tuesday due to weather.

PRE-GAME NOTES

The Herd is coming off a series win over No. 13 Southern Miss last weekend at Jack Cook Field.
Maika Niu has a team-leading 12 multi-hit games after the weekend as Jackson Halter trails with 11.
At 24 RBI each, AJ Havrilla and Ethan Murdoch are tied for the team lead. Havrilla leads MU with 10 doubles as Murdoch has a team-best eight homers.
Marshall sits 25th nationally with 11 triples as Niu's four are tied for 14th in the country.

ABOUT THE BOBCATS

Ohio fell in its weekend series at Northern Illinois.
The Bobcats fell in a matchup between the two sides on March 4 in 12 innings on a Havrilla walk off grandslam.
Matt Ineich sits 28th in the country with a .417 batting average on 45 hits this season.
With 14 homers, Ben Slanker is fifth in the nation as he sits 13th with 45 RBI.
