Herd T&F Teams Continue to Raise the Bar at Marshall Invitational

Herd gets five individual wins on final home meet’s first day
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — History was made once more on the first day of the Marshall Invitational at the Jeff Small Track at Chris Cline Athletic Complex.
Macie Majoy broke the school pole vault record for the third consecutive meet. The current Sun Belt Female Athlete of the Week jumped 4.15 meters, breaking the record the graduate senior set last week at 4.10 meters.
Other first place finishes for the Herd included Ian Johnson in the men's pole vault, Rebecca Merritt in the women's weight throw, Timothy Snyder in the men's weight throw, and Elicia Wood in the women's high jump.
The Marshall Invitational continues Saturday with a full schedule listed below. The day includes an alumni and senior recognition ceremony at 11:30 a.m.
