HERD FILE: Smith joins Marshall from Jackson State and he will reunite with defensive teammate Tyas Martin in the process. Smith finished the 2024 season with 27 tackles, including 2.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. Prior to Jackson State, Smith played in 25 games over two seasons at Eastern Michigan.
