Capped career by winning the Herd's Chad Pennington Award as the "offensive player who gives his all on and off the field" ... Finished career as starting tight end after playing backup to star Gator Hoskins from 2011-13 ... One of top academicians on the team, graduated in May 2013 (three years) ... Selected to 2014 Conference USA all-Academic Team, carrying a 4.0 in MBA studies ... Played 53 career games (every game in his four years(, with 66 catches for 712 yards and 10 touchdowns ... Made 17 career starts ... Came to Marshall with his twin, Blake, who transferred to UMass after being no. 2 QB in 2012 and `13. He was 2014 starting quarterback and returns to Minutemen in 2015.
SENIOR SEASON (2014): all-Conference USA Honorable Mention selection by league coaches ... Ranked second on team in receptions with 37, for 420 yards and five touchdowns ... Started all 14 games ... Had career highs of six catches (also had six in 2012 loss to West Virginia) and 107 yards, with a 30-yard TD in win over Rice ... Season-long 38-yard catch also came against Owls ... Opened senior season with five-catch game at Miami (Ohio), scoring two TDs ... Also had two touchdown catches in loss to Western Kentucky ...
JUNIOR SEASON (2013): Saw action in every game ... Caught seven passes for 95 yards and two touchdowns (in the wins over Gardner-Webb and UAB) ... Career-long catch of 39 yards versus UAB ... Had two receptions for 32 yards in Military Bowl victory over Maryland.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012): Played in every game for the Herd ... Began sophomore season with a six-catch day (his career high, also matched in senior year) for 60 yards and a TD in loss at West Virginia ... Caught 13 passes for 129 yards including two touchdown catches ... Pulled in a touchdown reception against WCU from his twin brother Blake... Recorded one solo tackle against Houston (Nov 17).
FRESHMAN SEASON (2011): Had a fine first season, posting nine catches for 68 yards and a four-yard touchdown against UAB ... Caught two passes for 18 yards against Tulsa ... Started in the first game of his Herd career, at West Virginia; also made starts at Louisville and UCF ... First collegiate catch came in Week 3 loss at Ohio, a 13-yard reception.
