R-FRESHMAN SEASON (2015): Emerged as solid performer for the Herd, filling in as star right tackle Clint Van Horn was sidelined with an injury and played only 10 quarters … Backed up at left and right tackle throughout the season … Improved steadily as season progressed and made first career start – at right tackle – in Herd’s 16-10 St. Petersburg Bowl victory over Connecticut … Played in 12 of 13 games, getting 297 offensive snaps, with 14 knockdowns … Also performed on PAT and field goal teams.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2014): Redshirted … Scout Team left tackle.
HERD FILE: Born May 2, 1996 … Majoring in Management at MU … Full name Fedrice Alexandre Binot (pronounced buh-NO, and of French origin) … Came to the United States from his native Haiti with his family when he was age 9 … Born in Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital … Herd teammates call him “Fred” or “FreddieB” … As a youth, played basketball and soccer … Rated a two-star prospect by Rivals … Also had offers from Toledo, Tennessee State, Florida A&M and Eastern Kentucky … Played tackle at Lake Gibson High, the same high school that produced Herd running back Remi Watson … Honorable mention Class 6A All-State Elite pick … Listed preseason as one of top 20 Florida interior offensive line prospects by Miami Herald … With the help of his blocking, Lake Gibson (7-3) averaged 36.5 points, 154.7 rushing yards and 206.2 passing yards per game and advanced to the Class 6A state playoffs in 2013 … Also on Lake Gibson wrestling team.
