Stands as 2016 Herd’s top returning wide receiver in career catches, with 61 receptions for 756 yards and 7 touchdowns … Has caught at least one pass in 22 of last 23 Marshall games, since he was moved from tight end to outside receiver.
 
R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015): Played all 13 games, starting the first seven outings … For the season, made 35 catches for 334 yards with one TD … Lone TD came in victory over Old Dominion … Long reception was 27-yarder in season-opening, 41-31 triumph over visiting Purdue … Caught at least one pass in 12 of 13 games … Top game in receptions was in 34-10 win at Charlotte, with six (for 46 yards) … Top yardage game came in triple-OT loss at middle Tennessee, with 62 yards on five receptions … 
 
R-FRESHMAN SEASON (2014): Began season at tight end and playing special teams; moved to outside receiver and emerged in Herd win at Old Dominion (Oct. 4), with five receptions for 55 yards, including a 6-yard touchdown … Had 26 catches for the season, all in the final 10 games, for 422 yards and six touchdowns … Only five FBS freshmen had more TD catches than McManus and teammate Angelo Jean-Louis (6 each) …The five catches at ODU were his season high … Biggest reception was a 5-yarder from Rakeem Cato with 1:50 to go in Conference USA Championship Game against Louisiana Tech, giving Herd the lead in its first title victory … Also had second-quarter TD catch (6 yards) in title game, when he had the only two Marshall TDs; made four receptions for 41 yards in the win … Had four catches for 110 yards in win over Florida Atlantic … Twenty of his 26 catches went for first downs … Longest catches (two) went for 39 yards, against FAU and Middle Tennessee … Made three tackles on special teams.

HERD FILE: Born Feb. 16, 1994 … Seeking Regents Bachelor of Arts degree at MU … Enrolled at Marshall in January 2013 … Chose Marshall over SMU … Originally was a Class of 2012 prospect from Baltimore’s Dunbar High School who signed with West Virginia, but enrolled at Atlanta Sports Academy … In high school, also had offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Marshall, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina State, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia … Rated a four-star prospect by Rivals as a senior … Ranked as the No. 25 wide receiver prospect and No. 169 overall prospect in the nation and the No. 4 overall prospect in Maryland.
