Moved to tight end in 2016 spring practice and suffered knee injury midway through drills and missed remainder of workouts.
R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015): At 2015 Marshall team banquet, was named Offensive scout Team Player of the Year as a defensive lineman (for giving good looks to Herd offense as a defensive player) … Played in three games, made one tackle (FIU) and had one pass breakup (Old Dominion).
R-FRESHMAN SEASON (2014): Moved from linebacker to defensive front for spring ball … No games played … Scout Team member.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2013): Redshirted.
HERD FILE: Born Oct. 8, 1993 … Majoring in Management Information Systems at MU … Originally committed to Utah State before choosing Marshall. Also had offers from Western Michigan, Delaware and Liberty, and interest from Kansas, FIU and Western Kentucky … Turned recruiters’ heads when he ran a 4.3 in the 40 at Elite Scouting Services Combine in Baltimore … Had 44 tackles, 10 pass breakups, three forced fumbles and one interception for Hallandale (6-4) in 2012 … Was a running back as a high school sophomore.
