SOPHOMORE SEASON (2015): Played all 13 games, making four starts … Emerged during season as “third safety’ … Rangy player with length performed on special teams … Played in eight of 13 games on defense, other five on special teams … Started and played 48 of 51 defensive snaps in St. Petersburg Bowl win, in which he had second career interception … Played 279 defensive snaps …Made 39 tackles, with one pass breakup … First career interception came in Oct. 3 win over Old Dominion … Made career-high 12 tackles in victory over North Texas … Had nine tackles in bowl win.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2014): One of eight true freshmen to play for the 2014 Herd … A backup safety, played in seven of 14 games, including the Conference USA title game and Boca Raton Bowl victories … Played 52 snaps on defense, 26 of those versus Rhode Island and 20 in win at Akron … Finished with six tackles (five solos), three of those in Week 2 victory over Rhode Island.
HERD FILE: Born Oct. 31, 1994 … Majoring in Management at MU … Rated a three-star prospect by Rivals … Also had offers from Alabama, UCF, Cincinnati, Florida, Florida State, Indiana, Louisville, Minnesota, Ohio State, USF, Tennessee, USC, Vanderbilt and Wisconsin … Ranked the No. 39 safety in America and the No. 66 overall prospect in Florida by Rivals … Committed to Georgia in July 2013, but decommitted from UGA and chose the Herd on Feb. 3, only 48 hours before Signing Day … Had 48 tackles, five interceptions, four pass breakups and two tackles for loss in 2013 to lead Lake Gibson (7-3) to the Class 6A state playoffs … Attended same high school as Herd teammates Remi Watson (RB) and Fedrice Binot (OL).
