Track and Field Competes At Conference USA Outdoor Championships

HUNTINGTON, W.Va. – Marshall track and field heads to Middle Tennessee for the Conference USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. The four-day meet begins Thursday at 3:45 p.m. EST at the Dean A. Hayes Track & Soccer Stadium.
The Herd aims to continue its success from the C-USA Indoor Championships, where the program earned a sixth place finish with a point total of 50. Marshall athletes earned six All-C-USA honors in the meet, a school record.
Heading into this weekend's meet, Marshall has 14 athletes or relays ranked within the top-10 of Conference USA in their respective events.
Torie Derrow and Mariah Harmon are the first Thundering Herd athletes to compete at the conference meet, as they begin the heptathlon Thursday. They will complete the event Friday, which will also feature MaryAnn Adebayo, Brooke Burns and Josie Moore in the hammer, and Kyleigh Edwards in the 10,000 meter run.

Saturday will feature predominately preliminary events on the track as well as three field events for Marshall. Sunday is highlighted by finals on the track and two more field events.
