2024 All-SBC Honorable Mention
2024 (Jr.) - Started all 12 games in which he appeared in 2024. Finished with 5 interceptions on the season, which tied for 3rd in FBS and tops in the Sun Belt. Secured an interception in four of the final five games in which he saw action in the 2024 season. Made a diving interception against Louisiana in the Herd's 31-3 win over the Ragin' Cajuns in the 2024 SBC Championship. Also had five tackles and an interception against Old Dominion. Recorded three passes defended (1 INT, 2 PBUs) in the win over Coastal Carolina. Had a season-best six tackles against Georgia State and had one of his better performances against Ohio State with five tackles and an interception in a one-on-one battle with Ohio State All-American Jeremiah Smith. Finished the season with 38 tackles and added five pass breakups.
2023 (So.) - Started all 13 games for the Herd and finished the year with 30 tackles and one interception. Moten's lone interception came against N.C. State, which he returned 27 yards for a touchdown. Also had six pass breakups on the season. Had a season-best five tackles against UAlbany.
HERD FILE: Moten is a former four-star recruit in the Class of 2020 out of Maryland. Moten had offers from Michigan, Oregon, Oklahoma, Penn State, North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Wisconsin, West Virginia and more. In his senior year at Fort Washington, Moten was targeted just 16 times, but recorded four interceptions and had eight pass breakups.
