R-JUNIOR SEASON (2022): Played in 13 games, starting in 12 in the secondary. Finished with 36 tackles, and 16 passes defended (six interceptions, 10 pass breakups). His six interceptions placed him tied for third in FBS. He also tied for the lead in the Sun Belt. Also had 1.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks and a fumble recovery … Had three tackles, a half-sack, an interception and a pass breakup in the upset of No. 8 Notre Dame … Had a season-high six tackles and a breakup against Louisiana … top all-around game was in win over App State when he had five tackles (1 TFL) and an interception … finished season with an interception and two pass breakups in bowl win against UConn.
R-SOPHOMORE SEASON (2021): Played and started in all 13 games in the secondary … Finished with 33 tackles and one interception to go along with 14 pass breakups, which led Conference USA and was tied for fourth in FBS … Was named as a 2021 All-Conference USA Second Team selection. Notched a career-high six tackles against Florida Atlantic and against App State. Also had an interception against App State. Had four tackles and three pass breakups in the New Orleans Bowl against Louisiana.
SOPHOMORE SEASON (2020): Played in all 10 games in the secondary, starting one … Promising young player made nine tackles … One pass breakup and one forced fumble.
FRESHMAN SEASON (2019): Saw action as a true freshman … Played in all 13 games, including seven starts … Started the season opener against VMI, then made the last six starts of the season, including in the Gasparilla Bowl against UCF in Raymond James Stadium, the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, for whom his father, Donnie, played while in the NFL … Made 36 tackles, along with one interception and three pass breakups … Made four tackles in his collegiate debut against VMI … Four tackles in a win against WKU …Three tackles in a win at Rice … Career-high six tackles at Charlotte … Five tackles in a win against FIU … Made three tackles in the Gasparilla Bowl, and recorded his first career interception – a 75-yard return for a touchdown, the longest interception return in that bowl game’s history.
HERD FILE: Enrolled during the summer with the Thundering Herd … Rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports.com … Also had offers from Boston College, USF, Buffalo, UMass, South Dakota and Alabama A&M … Also played wide receiver at East Lake … Competed in track in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 4x100 meter relay and 4x400 meter relay.
